Information Sheet
1. Your registration fee covers use of the equipment and secondary insurance only. Football cleats, jock straps and girdles are purchased by the parents.
2. The Chapter has 2 “MANDATORY” fundraisers. Monies are due prior to the first day of practice.
· Opening Day Raffle - $60
· Play-Off Pep Rally - $10
3. Each team will have a team expense fund / slush fund as set up by their Head Coach / Team Parent. Team fund collection may not exceed $50/athlete. These funds are used only for the athletes on that team for team items or events. These items may include but are not limited to game day snacks, pizza parties, Gatorade, ice, and water. Your team’s Head Coach / Team Parent will be able to answer any funds related questions more specifically at your team meeting or when the season has begun. An accounting of your team funds account is available at any time.
4. Parents will be held financially responsible for all equipment issued to their children. Parents will be required to sign a form prior to the issuance of equipment authorizing Mission Viejo Youth Football, Inc. to bill them directly in the event that equipment is lost, destroyed or not returned for any reason. Replacement costs can exceed $500. The equipment issued is the sole property of Mission Viejo Youth Football, Inc. If equipment is not returned, Mission Viejo Youth Football, Inc. reserves the right to pursue the collection of the cost of said equipment through legal remedies.
5. Your child will not be placed on a team unless his/her registration fee has been paid in full. A $35.00 processing fee will be assessed on any returned checks. A $10.00 processing fee will be assessed on any check that requires a second attempt to clear. NSF charges must be paid immediately for the athlete to continue to participate on his/her team.
6. There are “NO REFUNDS” issued for any reason. This includes but is not limited to injuries, illness, moving, weight restrictions, etc. NO EXCEPTIONS. Mission Viejo Youth Football, Inc. orders equipment in March based upon number of participants and relies upon the registration fees to pay for said equipment.
7. Any questions or problems regarding your team should be first addressed to your Head Coach. If you are still not satisfied you are welcome to consult with the Athletic Director assigned to your team for advice on how to proceed.
8. Each team is required to raise $850 in sponsorships. Your coach will ask you to help raise these funds by donating directly or soliciting sponsorships from companies you may have affiliation with. Any amount collected over $850 will be split equally with the Chapter and the team.
